New REDAWN Webinar 3: Energy recovery potential, economic, social and environmental impacts

Our third Autumn webinar event presented the achievements regarding energy recovery in the EU Atlantic Area water sector and aimed to demonstrate the substantial potential for micro-hydropower (MHP) to generate clean energy and contribute to improving the sustainability of the EU’s water sector. Using a series of case studies in water distribution and irrigation networks, the potential economic, social and environmental impacts and challenges to implementing this in the EU will be explored. 

The session was led by Dr. Helena M. Ramos, (University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico)
