Delegates from the Tunisian government visited Seville to learn more about the Andalucian sustainable energy model and the latest renewable energy projects.

Our own Miguel Crespo Cachon of Trinity College Dublin was at the meeting hosted by the Agencia Andaluza de la Energía, to present on REDAWN, including our demonstration plant near Cordoba.

All the partners from REDAWN got together in Dublin this March to catch up on the latest progress on our research.

There was exciting news about the demonstration pilot plant in Andalucia, which is coming into operation this Spring, as well as progress on our two other pilot sites and the latest data from our research into MHP energy recovery potential in Europe.

Our partners from Action Renewables and Trinity College Dublin attended February's WWT Water Northern Ireland Conference in Belfast, with a stand about our latest work.

Some of our speakers at the industry session on micro hydro power

Micro hydro energy recovery and system control towards smart water grids featured in a special industry session at WatefCon18.

Speakers included representatives from industry leaders RSS Portugal, KSB, INDAQUA, Saint Gobain PAM, Technilab Portugal, as well as REDAWN partners from IST-Lisboa and Trinity College Dublin.

Presenters at this years EWaS3 conference

EWaS3 conference in June 2018 focussed on efficient water systems giving insights on the Water-Food-Energy Nexus.

Scientists addressed and discussed issues related to hydraulics, hydrology, water resources systems management, climate change and environmental systems. Out of the 200 papers submitted, 140 were selected for oral or poster presentation.
